Biography

Attorney John Nwosu is passionate about the practice of law and strongly believes in access to justice for everyone. John is a relentless advocate for his clients. As someone who has personally experienced our complex legal system, John is uniquely situated to advocate for his clients. While attending law school, John successfully sued the United States government in federal court, obtaining a judgment in his favor.

John founded his own law firm in order to practice law without hindrance. John has represented over 3000 clients in family, immigration, civil and Personal Injury matters. John has extensive trial experience; his third trial experience was a second chair in a murder trial. John has successfully represented clients in complex family law matters ranging from highly contested divorce matters, child support and child custody disputes to uncontested divorce. John has also successfully represented numerous clients that were injured in serious automobile accidents to successful courtroom victory and out of court settlements. John makes himself easily accessible and if practical, prides himself in responding to his client’s inquiries within two hours.

Prior to setting up his law firm, John practiced law in a variety of legal settings – he worked with Dallas County District Attorney’s office and Dallas County Public Defender’s office as an intern where he assisted Assistant District Attorneys and Public Defenders with every aspect of their cases. Further, John’s vast legal experience includes legal internships at Arizona Supreme Court, a renowned civil rights law firm in Charlotte North Carolina, a large international corporate law firm in Santa Monica, California, and a foreign government financial crimes agency.

Additionally, while in law school, John participated in two clinical programs – the Prisoners’ Rights clinic where John advocated for incarcerated individuals, assisted them with parole hearing preparations and their subsequent transition back into the community and the Criminal Advocacy clinic where John worked in a three-person team that represented individuals who have been accused of committing crimes. John’s article on Evidence was published by the American Bar Association International Law Section in October of 2009.

Attorney John Nwosu received his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with minors in Mathematics and Biology from Salem State University, Salem, Massachusetts; he graduated summa cum laude. He received his Law Degree from Northeastern University School of Law, Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to attending law school, John worked as an Application Programmer. John was also a licensed Real Estate Appraiser Assistant in the States of Massachusetts and New York.

John volunteers his time with the Legal Aid of Northwest Texas where he provides legal counsel for free to individuals who cannot afford private legal counsel.  In addition to the practice of law, John is an avid runner and enjoys traveling around the world with his wife and two boys.
